Market capitalization is the product of all shares in the exchange and the closing prices. Liquidity refers to how easily you can trade a counter. Banking sector has more liquidity compared to agricultural sector. Free float is the portion of shares readily available in the market to trade mostly by retail and institutional investors as opposed to those held by a few investors who do not trade. Good examples are Kengen and National bank. Kengen's largest portion of shares is held by the government through treasury while in National bank, treasury and Nssf collectively hold more than half the shares without trading the same in the market.
